SONG OF THE DAY: PIANO MAN-COLTON DIXON

Originally I wanna listen GD’s Crayon for today but last night Mbak Ki and I talked so much about the other song. That melody has glue or somewhat, now it stucks on my brain. We’ve been friends for so long and guess what?

The Music” versi Team A WIN. *sigh *blame it on genius choreographer Seunghoon. Kemudian tiba-tiba saja tadi malam obrolan kami nyasar ke lagu country berjudul “Piano Man”.
Why so serious? Get your crayon!  Sing us a song youre piano man, sing us a song tonight (this is how my mind worked)

I said to Mbak Ki there’s a cover version of Piano Man that is gonna melt our heartss—she agreed. Colton Dixon’s Piano Man is one of my faves out of all American Idol season 11 performances. He’s not even my bias on that competition since Jessica Sanchez’s voice jailed my heart. Well, in many songs nothing beats the original version but Colton brings a different feeling. I love the original version but Colton version is heart-wrenching. His interpretation is admirable. The alternative pop-rock arrangement he picked trapped me in goosebumps.

Colton's performance that night effortless yet awesome. The emotion is just so right. I was impressed by how classy and comfortable he was on the stage. Look at that performance, he sang it like it's in his own concert. *this is how I love his performance.

My life ruined by artists whom effortlessly send the message to their audience.

He says, "Son, can you play me a memory. I'm not really sure how it goes, but it's sad and it's sweet and I knew it complete when I wore a younger man's clothes. *bowing down to Billy Joel, the one composed and sang this song. His lyric is a heartbreaker!

Semalam quote ini dikatakan Mbak Ki: Selalu lemah sama cowok yang nyanyi sambil maen instrumen musik. Kali ini saya yang gantian mengangguk setuju :)
