Sekalipun telah terdapat begitu banyak kampanye untuk melindungi beragam hal seperti lindungi hutan, lindungi hewan langka, dan lindungi hati perempuan *eeehhh, lindungi ilmu pengetahuan merupakan isu yang tidak bisa dipandang sebelah mata. Each and every person has knowledge, right? Pertanyaannya, apakah kita yakin telah melindungi ilmu agar tidak hilang begitu saja? Apakah organisasi tempat kita bernaung telah memastikan bahwa ilmu tetap bertahan dalam organisasi tersebut seiring bergulirnya waktu?

Beberapa waktu yang lalu, saya sempat sekilas membaca kabar bahwa Choi Ji Woo, salah satu aktris YG Entertainment, didapuk sebagai peran utama dalam drama berjudul ”Twenty Again”. Karena bukan pecinta drama, saya menganggap lalu berita tersebut. Berita tersebut benar-benar terdengar biasa sebelum akhirnya hari ini saya mengalami sesuatu yang hampir serupa dengan alur drama tersebut.

A coward who pretends to be strong

Big Bang dropped their newest songs called Bae Bae and Loser. Between the two, I’m into Loser more as the melancholy hip hop track was like speaking to me. Bae Bae is a mid-tempo track with cool snares sound and Loser is a ballad with a slow tempo song. While Bae Bae sounds playful-cheerful, Loser has a dark atmosphere and is emotional. I think I can relate to this RnB-with-hip hop-touch song. As soon as I heard this song, I keep singing the lyrics especially the “loser, loner, a coward who pretends to be tough” part that easily stuck in my mind. Big Bang really matured now. Their songs aren’t the fancy, flashy, upbeat songs but songs that tell the reality. The honest and sincere lyrics can touch the listener’s heart and yes Big Bang did it on me.

Mr. And Mrs. Drama, could you just quit your drama and live on earth?

Sebab kalian tak pernah tegas kemudian salah paham pada perasaan masing-masing, aku akan bersikap tegas pada kalian. Aku tak mengerti pada drama dan ketidaktegasan yang kalian nyalakan selama berbulan-bulan ini. Entah mengapa hanya aku yang melihat akhir kisah kalian padahal kalian pemeran utama di dalamnya. Kalian benar-benar tidak tahu atau berpura-pura tidak tahu? Ku katakan sejak awal sebaiknya kalian melangkah sendiri-sendiri saja ketika jalan bercabang. Mengapa saat kalian berpisah, kalian hanya bisa bercerita dan sedikit menuduhku tidak berusaha menyelamatkan kalian berdua? Kalian pikir hidupku hanya untuk memikiran perjalanan kalian saja? Kalian tidak mungkin lupa setiap orang memiliki masalah masing-masing.

Have I ever told you that I love indie music? I love Homogenic, ERK, and guess what’s next? Standing Egg! To put it simply the indie band provides you easy-listening songs. But if you ask me the reason why  I’m jamming to their tracks then the explanation couldn’t be simple.
