So I heard you are curious about IT and/or auditing. I'm your go-to buddy in this exciting journey. My typical professional life consists of performing (and studying!) IT audit and managing the award-winning magazine, Auditoria. Armed with a Master of Commerce in Digital Transformation from UNSW Sydney, I'm currently wearing multiple hats—ambassador at IIA Indonesia's Young Leader Community, mentor at ISACA Global, Head of Public Relations at MoF-Cybersecurity Community, and trainer at IIA Indonesia. SONG OF THE DAY: SUN IS SHINING-AXWELL / \ INGROSSO

If you know the feeling of meeting a song that gives you fluttery feeling every time you listen to it, then you know mine right now. I can’t help smiling whenever I listen to this mood-booster song. I mean, I love how this summer-y song had a very sweet message. Don’t forget the fact that it used simple lyrics to convey the song’s emotion yet still sounds so full. I love the part “Can’t you tell I got news for you?”. When we’re ready to listen to the news, we only get extremely nice words afterward. 

I'm surrounded by strong happiness and positive energy, especially in the chorus part. I still can't get over how this song trapped me with a question only to send me to the beautiful words "sun is shining and so are you.". Can’t you tell I got news for you? It’s very important news.

TWENTY AGAIN

Beberapa waktu yang lalu, saya sempat sekilas membaca kabar bahwa Choi Ji Woo, salah satu aktris YG Entertainment, didapuk sebagai peran utama dalam drama berjudul ”Twenty Again”. Karena bukan pecinta drama, saya menganggap lalu berita tersebut. Berita tersebut benar-benar terdengar biasa sebelum akhirnya hari ini saya mengalami sesuatu yang hampir serupa dengan alur drama tersebut.

YANGHWA BRIDGE

Keinginan menulis ini muncul setelah saya membaca ulang diary dan menemukan kata Yanghwa Bridge di catatan tanggal 24 Juli 2015. Sebetulnya saya sudah menyukai lagu itu jauh sebelum saya menuliskannya di diary. Saya ingat perasaan saya teraduk-aduk ketika mendengar lagu ini pertama kali. Perasaan yang sama masih saya temui setiap kali saya mendengar lagu ini kembali. Ah, such a heart-breaking yet comforting song.

SONG OF THE DAY: HAPPY-NE1

Have you ever listened to a happy song but on contrary feel sad? Although this song has a happy vibe--even the title told us so but it’s actually a really sad song.
I always and will always love the contradictive things in YG Entertainment’s songs (where 2NE1 is one of the label's artists). I Love You told us about loving someone who doesn’t care about us at all and ended up hating him—but still love him so much. Sometimes the person you love the most is the person you hate the most—I think it’s cool to have this kind of story in a song. Lonely told us about being lonely even though having someone beside us. And here’s the latest contradictive 2NE1 presented to the listeners: without you, I’m not happy but I hope you’re happy. Although the upbeat melody sounds fun and bright, the story is on the other side. The song even performed in cute choreography, a catchy beat,  and a cool drum sound but actually is about broken-hearted girls.

SADA BORNEO

Some songs are simply mystical and magical. For me, Sada Borneo is one of them.

My first encounter with Sada Borneo was when I heard their audition for Asia's Got Talent 2015. The relaxing, soothing, and very calm melody of theirs gracefully flowed right to my soul. They mixed traditional and modern music well. Their song was something familiar in my ears--simply like a sound from nature. It’s the sound that brought me to my childhood--to a place with only peacefulness. Sada Borneo’s music touched my heart right in the center. It flew me to an imaginary place where happiness is synonymous with that place.

SONG OF THE DAY: BIG BANG’S LOSER

Have you ever feel after you defended yourself many times, at the end of day, you 're so defeated to the point you have to admit that you’re a total loser?
Big Bang dropped their newest songs called Bae Bae and Loser. Between the two, I’m into Loser more as the melancholy hip hop track was like speaking to me. Bae Bae is a mid-tempo track with cool snares sound and Loser is a ballad with a slow tempo song. While Bae Bae sounds playful-cheerful, Loser has a dark atmosphere and is emotional. I think I can relate to this RnB-with-hip hop-touch song. As soon as I heard this song, I keep singing the lyrics especially the “loser, loner, a coward who pretends to be tough” part that easily stuck in my mind. Big Bang really matured now. Their songs aren’t the fancy, flashy, upbeat songs but songs that tell the reality. The honest and sincere lyrics can touch the listener’s heart and yes Big Bang did it on me.

DRAMA

Mr. And Mrs. Drama, could you just quit your drama and live on earth?

Sebab kalian tak pernah tegas kemudian salah paham pada perasaan masing-masing, aku akan bersikap tegas pada kalian. Aku tak mengerti pada drama dan ketidaktegasan yang kalian nyalakan selama berbulan-bulan ini. Entah mengapa hanya aku yang melihat akhir kisah kalian padahal kalian pemeran utama di dalamnya. Kalian benar-benar tidak tahu atau berpura-pura tidak tahu? Ku katakan sejak awal sebaiknya kalian melangkah sendiri-sendiri saja ketika jalan bercabang. Mengapa saat kalian berpisah, kalian hanya bisa bercerita dan sedikit menuduhku tidak berusaha menyelamatkan kalian berdua? Kalian pikir hidupku hanya untuk memikiran perjalanan kalian saja? Kalian tidak mungkin lupa setiap orang memiliki masalah masing-masing.

Have I ever told you that I love indie music? I love Homogenic, ERK, and guess what’s next? Standing Egg! To put it simply the indie band provides you easy-listening songs. But if you ask me the reason why  I’m jamming to their tracks then the explanation couldn’t be simple.


However much we describe and explain love,

KOSAKATA BAHASA INDONESIA YANG SERING SALAH DIEJA

Saya baru saja iseng membaca laman Wikipedia tentang daftar kosakata Bahasa Indonesia yang sering salah dieja (link: http://id.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Daftar_kosakata_bahasa_Indonesia_yang_sering_salah_dieja). Ternyata Bahasa Indonesia yang saya gunakan kerap awur-awuran. Hahaha. Setelah membaca laman tersebut, saya bergegas membetulkan kesalahan penulisan di blog saya. Saya merasa beruntung menemukan laman Wikipedia tersebut. Semoga link tersebut bermanfaat untuk teman-teman semua :)

COSO 2013 TRAINING


Hello. I wrote another random note. Hehehe. Beberapa waktu yang lalu saya berkesempatan memandu acara training COSO 2013 yang diadakan di kantor saya. Karena tugas memandu acara itu, saya “terpaksa” mengikuti seluruh rangkaian acara yang berlangsung selama tiga hari. Otak saya yang pas-pasan ini berasap mendengar materi COSO yang terasa sungguh antah berantah. Tapi aku kudu kuat *tsaaaaah. Untungnya trainer yang mengisi acara membawakan materi dengan sangat menarik. Mr. Raoul Menes, pembicara pelatihan ini, adalah president of Board of Governors di Institute of Internal Auditors. Tak hanya memukau dengan kemampuannya di bidang audit, lelaki asal Kanada ini juga sangat terampil membawakan presentasi sehingga audiens betah mengikuti acara.

(Training ini lagi-lagi menyindir saya untuk rajin belajar.)

ONE OF A KIND

Yes, Sir, I’m one of a kind….

Out of blue, I want to write this review. Although this album was released 2 years ago, I still listen to it often. G-Dragon dropped his “One of A Kind” album while Big Bang holds a world tour in 2012. Meanwhile, I was jamming to Big Bang’s Alive album, I can’t help moving my heart to Big Bang's leader’s second album. I’ll write my opinion on why I adore this album and the reasons I called this album a masterpiece.

KESUKSESAN


Di pikiran kecil saya, kesuksesan adalah tentang kebahagiaan hidup. Kesuksesan tidak didefinisikan oleh siapa pun selain diri kita sendiri. Bukan tentang angka atau huruf tertentu melainkan mengenai rasa. Tak melulu tentang tempat yang tinggi karena pada akhirnya ketinggian pun hasil pendefinisian tiap-tiap dari kita. 

MIMPI

Sebagian orang memanggil namamu kerap tanpa berusaha meraih tanganmu. Sebagian yang lain takut bahkan untuk sekadar menyebut namamu--gamang bila nantinya tak pernah berpapasan. Aku dan segerombolan orang yang nekat menggedor pintumu tak tahu malu. Barangkali kau membenci kegaduhan dan memilih untuk keluar menemuiku pada akhirnya. Mungkin saja kau menampakkan wajah pada orang yang tak pernah lelah mengunjungimu—kilahku setiap mendengar kata sia-sia dilayangkan padaku.

INSPIRING WOMAN LEADERSHIP


(Long time no see... Maafkan saya atas kemalasan saya menulis beberapa hari ini *shameless.)

Oh ya, 3 hari yang lalu saya berkesempatan mengikuti seminar “Inspiring Woman Leadership” yang diadakan oleh BPPK. Seminar ini menghadirkan 3 pembicara yaitu Ibu Khofifah Indar Parawansa, Ibu Neno Warisman, dan Bapak Joko Nugroho. 

AND THE VICTOR OF SHOW ME THE MONEY 3 IS .....

"Wanna bet? You never seen a man like me. I live without holding every single day. Wanna bet? You never seen a man like me. I'm so busy having fun, just follow my lead." ( Put Your Guard Up and Bounce-Bobby)

Yohooo, Bobby won “Show Me The Money 3”, a rap competition held by Mnet. I can’t help adoring his performances especially his final stage. His song called " Put Your Guard up and Bounce" made my head bouncing so many times since the beat is good. His self-composed songs are cool, his flow is sick, his stage presence is so strong. I never though he will be this charismatic on the stage before. Bobby had to pass many fierce rap battles before claimed his victory. Bobby had to win over some underground rappers he knew since he was a child. I bet he's overwhelmed with a endless joy with this champion title. People said that idol rappers are less-talented compared to underground rappers and he proved that he's not just an usual idol. He's the real rapper eventhough grows up inside a company. In addition, this winning once again restated YG domination on hiphop arena. 

BEST FRIENDS

Pernah membaca tulisan saya yang berjudul “Dear My Husband”? Tulisan itu terinspirasi dari lagu “Dear My Wife” karya Mino dan P.O. Ketika memperdengarkan lagu tersebut kepada fans, P.O. menuliskan "This song is a song which I have written and composed for, together with my best friend Song Minho (Mino)". Persahabatan kedua rapper ini dimulai saat mereka kecil. Mereka belajar rapping sejak sangat muda dan memiliki mimpi yang sama. Sayangnya jalan mereka menuju impian berliku dan mereka tidak pernah tahu pasti bagaimana akhir dari perjalanan itu. Mereka kemudian berjanji, “One day, let’s meet on the same stage.”
